Shot 1: Inbound Thought of the Week

Michele’s book for introverts, titled How to be an Introvert in an Extrovert World is now a finalist in two book awards. If you are an introvert - or interested in how introverts think - check it out.

Testing new HubShots covers - let us know what you think:

Shot 2: HubSpot Marketing Feature of the Week

Scheduling on popup forms: For existing popups you can now set an End time:

If your popup is not yet published, you can also set Publish Start times:

Only seems to be available in Pro and Enterprise, not in Starter or Free.

Shot 3: HubSpot Sales Feature of the Week

Collecting all the data you need in the right contact properties.

Why is this important?  Because we discovered sales teams have internal processes that they do adhere to.  Like sending an email to accounts to have an account set up in SAP.  So we created a snippet that all the necessary bits of data so it could be used in a task for account setup.

Shot 4: HubSpot Gotcha of the Week

There’s no way to tell from the contact timeline which social post a person clicked on that brought them to the site.

Would be nice if HubSpot could incorporate that into the timeline.

There’s an Ideas forum entry you upvote if you agree:

Shot 5: Marketing Tip of the Week

Using Google search operators:

https://builtvisible.com/how-to-use-google-advanced-search-operators-to-find-indexation-and-technical-seo-issues/

The Exclude operator is handy eg you can exclude terms or sites from the search results eg:

hubspot podcast -hubspot.com

This will return a list of results that excludes anything from the hubspot.com domain.

Shot 6: Insight of the Week

Google’s new advertising features

“En route to a client meeting across town in a taxi cab but need to launch a last-minute holiday campaign? Google’s Android and iOS app now lets you write the search copy, optimize the headline, place bids and set budget constraints from your smartphone.” lol

Shot 8: Resource of the Week

Fun tool for generating filler text, related to a topic (rather than using lorem ipsum) - it pulls from Wikipedia:

Shot 9: Quote of the Week

A quote on advertising:

“Don’t tell me how good you make it; tell me how good it makes me when I use it.” - Leo Burnett
