When do you invoice me?

If you are a new client we invoice you either every 8 hours or the end of the calendar month - whichever comes first.

If you are a regular customer we switch to invoicing you at the end of each calendar month.

Is there a minimum number of hours each month?

No, there is no minimum. Just as the name implies, it is on-demand. Only need us for one hour this month... no problem. We'll only invoice you one hour. 

What are some typical estimates of hours required?

Every client is different of course, but as a rough guide to typical on-demand estimates, here's some examples:

  • Implement a new landing page template and populate with content you provide (8-10 hours)
  • Setup an email campaign, prepare the email with content you provide, prepare list of recipients, test and send (6-8 hours)
  • Prepare an ad campaign for LinkedIn, setup the account, prepare the campaign and launch (6-8 hours)


Is this a long term option?

You can use the On-Demand service for as long as you need. If appropriate for your situation you can upgrade to one of our ongoing full service digital options at any time.


What is the difference between On-Demand and a Retainer option?

The On-Demand products are ideal for ad-hoc, short term pieces. They are - by design - reactive and short term. In comparison retainer engagements are longer term in outlook and much more proactive and strategic.

Simply choose the engagement that is appropriate for your company at this time. You can easily switch between products as appropriate.


How quickly can you get started?

It will depend on your requirements, but potentially we can start working on your item within a day.

Here's the typical process:

  • Introductory zoom call with the XEN team
  • If appropriate (ie we are a good fit for each other), then
  • Plan out your requirements
  • Set priorities
  • Grant access to your platforms (CRM, marketing automation, ad accounts, etc as required)
  • XEN starts

It's not unreasonable for this to all happen in a single day.

Simple example:

  • A request for help preparing an email campaign in your email system (eg MailChimp, HubSpot, Campaign Monitor, etc)
  • Plan out the email campaign
  • XEN gets access
  • We setup new email template 
  • We prepare email draft and send to you for checking
  • Email sent
